Cell culture system "Magnetic3D"

3D cell culture system utilizing magnetic force!

"Magnetic3D" is a cell culture system that attaches nano-shuttles (particles composed of iron oxide, gold, and poly-L-lysine) to the cell surface to form spheroids using magnetic force. It allows for easy observation by forming a single spheroid in a flat well. It can also be used for cells that typically have difficulty forming spheroids in standard cultures. 【Features】 ■ Easy observation due to the formation of a single spheroid in a flat well ■ Spheroids can be fixed with magnetic force, allowing for medium exchange ■ Suitable for screening through imaging analysis *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[FreedomEVO Case Study] Australian Eye Research Centre

The path to curing degenerative eye diseases: Introducing the case study of "Freedom EVO."

The Australian Centre for Eye Research (CERA), established in 1996, is an institution that combines public health and clinical epidemiology with cutting-edge research to elucidate the causes of eye diseases and develop new treatments. The Neuroregeneration Research Unit and the Clinical Genetics Unit are creating cell models of diseases that can lead to blindness, such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and hereditary retinal dystrophies, using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells) to explore potential therapies. After establishing stem cell lines, the challenge was to develop a reliable protocol for maintaining this cell culture, but the manual process was cumbersome and time-consuming. To address this, a custom-made sterile work 'Freedom EVO System' equipped with an 84-plate LiCONiC incubator was introduced. [Case Study] - Installation Site: Australian Centre for Eye Research (CERA) - Purpose of Installation: To free staff from simple tasks and minimize variability in cultured cells - Product Installed: 'Freedom EVO System' *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
